5 Things to Do With Dad for Father’s Day
Father’s Day is just around the corner and it’s time we say goodbye to the gift of traditional ties and coffee mugs. While gifts are nice to give, what dad may appreciate the most is a little quality time spent together! Whether your dad is the type to enjoy a jam packed day full of adventures or a low key and relaxing afternoon, we gathered a list of fun things to do that will make any dad feel loved, appreciated, and celebrated this Father’s Day!
1. Spend Time in Nature
For the adventure loving dad, spend the day outside doing something that he enjoys! Finding an activity such as hiking, kayaking, biking, or simply going for a stroll together can create lots of memories that will last a lifetime. Be sure to snap some pics along the way!
2. Learn About His Roots
Take some time to learn about his family tree and listen to his stories (even if it seems you’ve heard the stories time and time before). Walk down memory lane together and flip through old photo albums or watch some family home videos.
3. Plant a Garden
There’s nothing better than fresh fruits and vegetables in the summertime! Get your hands dirty and plant a garden together. Dad will love to reap the benefits of growing his own food for months to come! If there isn’t enough outdoor space for a full fledged garden, consider a raised garden bed or table, or try planting a small potted herb garden that can be grown right inside the kitchen!
4. Cook His Favorite Meal
There’s no better way to dad’s heart than with his favorite food! Plan a picnic, host a backyard barbecue, or take him out to his favorite restaurant to share a special meal together. If dad loves to cook, let him take the reins! Otherwise, allow him to kick back and relax while you prepare the meal for him.
5. Pick Out a Plant Together
Does dad have an appreciation for plants? If so, take him to pick out a new Max and Miles plant! Before heading out to your local HEB, take our quiz together to find out if you are a Max or a Miles.
Our Miles collection includes a variety of succulents and foliage, perfect for the dad who would appreciate a low maintenance plant buddy. While the Max collection is made up of bold and beautiful orchids, money trees, anthuriums, and bromeliads that stand out and make a statement. Just like dad!
